Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 19, 2026

1. Scope

This policy supplements the Virada Privacy Policy and describes how Virada LLC handles consumer health data in Virada: Jump Rope Classes, as required by the Washington My Health My Data Act, Nevada law, and similar laws. It applies to everyone who uses the app, wherever they live.

2. Health Data We Collect, and Only With Your Consent

The app can measure the following during a workout, from a Bluetooth heart rate monitor you pair or from Apple Health if you turn it on:

  • Average and maximum heart rate for a session
  • A heart rate trace over the session
  • Estimated calories burned
  • The identifier of the workout the app wrote to Apple Health

These figures stay on your phone. We collect them, meaning they are stored with your account on our servers, only after you switch on "Sync heart rate to my account." The app asks once, the first time you turn on a heart rate source, and the switch is off until you say yes. It lives in the app under Profile, Workout.

Your other workout figures (jump counts, duration, tempo, the classes you take) are part of your account's workout history and are described in the Privacy Policy.

3. Why We Collect It

For one purpose: so the heart rate and calorie figures of your sessions appear in your history on your other devices. We do not use health data for advertising, analytics, profiling, or any other purpose.

4. Sharing

We do not sell consumer health data, and we do not share it with third parties or affiliates. It is stored by our database provider, Supabase (United States), which processes it only on our behalf and under contract. We may disclose it if the law requires us to.

5. Your Rights

  • Withdraw consent. Switch off "Sync heart rate to my account" in Profile, Workout. The health figures are removed from our servers and stay on your phone.
  • Delete. Withdrawing consent deletes the health data we hold. Profile, Delete account deletes everything we hold about you.
  • Access. Write to jeremiah@virada.net to confirm whether we hold your health data and to receive a copy.

We answer requests within 30 days, free of charge, and never treat you differently for making one. If we decline a request, you may appeal by replying to our decision; we will answer the appeal in writing within 45 days. If the appeal is denied, Washington residents may contact the Washington State Attorney General at atg.wa.gov/file-complaint.
